I had a whole other newsletter planned for today, but this question has been gnawing at me, and I’m eager to read your responses.
For me, one change I’ve voluntarily made is to stop shrinking. I’m still on the shy side + definitely an introvert, but I’m done shrinking. Done following all the “shoulds”, especially related to what is “feminine” or “masculine”. Done with the peer pressure.
Done with all that mess, because after all, life is too short + we have so little control, so embrace who we are, fully!
How about you?
One change I’ve voluntarily made after living in a COVID world for 2+ years is …
I've got reacquainted with my surroundings. I used to treat my house like a hotel, out in the morning, back after 10:00 pm. Now, on the contrary, I rarely go to central Tokyo and spend a lot of my free time taking long walks along the local river, taking pictures of flowers and bugs, and waving at the little cow train which runs near my house.
Silence ... change is scary, no?
Being less fixated on work and more fixated on life, you know...the parts of life that really matter! Health, relationships, friends.
