If you’ve ever stared at your cell phone for longer than you originally planned to, you probably don’t think of that as much “fun” either.
I know I certainly don’t, but it still happens - they’re designed to do that.
So in the spirit of having some fun, it’s time for a thread about fun … and this time, there are TWO questions.
Choose one, or choose them both - up to you :)
Questions About Fun:
What is one fun thing you did this year that didn’t involve your smartphone?
What is one fun thing you plan to do before the end of 2022 that doesn’t involve your smartphone?
Answer one or both of the questions in the comments and let’s get a great collection of fun going!
Here are my responses:
On my birthday, I went to the Denver Art Museum and saw an exhibit featuring “more than 100 objects highlighting the artistry, function, and societal perceptions armor shaped throughout time.” It was truly fascinating artistically, historically, and culturally.
As the temperatures cool off and the leaves begin to change color, I’m looking forward to going hiking in Colorado during Autumn (my favorite season). The leaves had mostly changed by the time I moved to Colorado last year, so I’m excited to experience Autumn fully this year.
I’m looking forward to hearing all about your ideas of fun 😊
I have toyed with the idea of not having a smartphone, but with some of the new changes coming in my life, it's going to become a very useful tool :) But I completely understand the desire to not have one!
Walking and exploring is so much fun, along with spending some time 100% off-line. I try to go fully off-line at least once a year for a week.
I must add that though I don't have a smartphone - which means I'm off-line every time I leave home - I usually spend hours every day in front of my PC, both for leisure and my job. I'm definitely addicted to the damn machine.
This one is very easy to answer because I'm one of those weird people who still don't own a smartphone.
1. Walking. I often walk and even enjoy getting lost and discovering new things because of my unplanned detours.
2. Leaving on a trip to the north of Japan. Four days when I'll be absolutely off-line.
