The last few years I went back to Italy, I spent most of my time at home with my mother, who had leg problems and could hardly walk, because I wanted to make the most of my time with her. I even went so far as to record our conversations (talking about her childhood memories, etc.).
I love this - not that your mother couldn't hardly walk, but that you spent so much time with her and even recorded the conversations. That is incredibly beautiful.
And my sister is incredibly jealous that I came up with that idea. Then again, she lived next door to my mother, so she didn't really need to do that. I was the prodigal son who went far away.
I liked your insights from your hiking. I always like to hike and find something new.
Thank you :) Hiking is a personal hobby of mine and I find something new every time I go out to explore!

As the fellow prodigal child that always lives further away, I totally understand :)
